These are the blood cell-forming adult stem cells found in bone marrow. Every type of blood cell in the bone marrow starts as a stem cell.

MSCs (Mesenchymal Stem Cells) have an ability to develop into any mesodermal tissue. These cells can be easily isolated, processed and made available for clinical use. They can be administered through injections. These stem cell injections can help in the healing of bone and cartilage defects due to trauma, tendon and ligament injuries. They also have a significant role in the treatment of Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of hip, where in bone regeneration sets in after stem cell (BMAC- Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate) infiltration in the initial stages of AVN.
